I don't like playing canon characters either. I would rather not have to reference a movie or book to see how my character would react to something. I'm told I write a good Han though.

Bounty Hunter
I only play them if I feel confident enough that I can write them properly, and have enough knowledge of their background to pull it off.

TNO's Finest
Yeah.. I can only scratch the surface of using canon characters..
A Palpatine bit here and a Han Solo bit thing there. I don't think I do them all that well and so I stay away.
I like to flesh my characters out more than rehash movie personalities.

Return of the King of the Cafe!
I have trouble enough playing my own characters, I'm definetly not one to try someone else's. Is it really that hard to come up with your own concepts these days?

Jedi Mastah
Not really. Not if you try.
