That being said, the companies that are members of the RIAA should learn from the incredible popularity of song sharing, and benefit from it instead of try stop it -- the suing of a 70 old grandma who hardly knew how to use email, and a 12 year old girl who thought it was OK because her mother had paid a Kazaa fee is what makes the RIAA look so bad. Not to mention the alarming measures they are taking to find out who you are.

There is no justification for downloading songs. It's illegal, immoral, and wrong. It's forgery, and you are stealing straight from the mouths of the people who create the albums.

Kas, a lot of what you say would mean more if you didn't think shooting animals was right...
But when you're berating us for downloading music, while cleaning the shotgun you use to kill things, it really takes away from the effect.

Drayson, a lot of what you say would mean more if you didn't think that the lives of animals are worth more than the lives of humans.

I know i'm against the idea of killing but Drayson, we kill and *eat* animals because we need to live a more important life than animals.I know you know that obviously but what Kas said is correct, humans lives are more important than an animal, for example: a pig they are pathetic and deliver us food.

Pigs are cool.
I believe killing animals is wrong, but I'll still eat cheeseburgers.

What the hell is downloading music going to do to the companies? All it's going to do is yeah make them feel that they aren't selling because of people downloading. It's called turnaround, Lorenzo. Record companies sink a certain amount of money into making a record, and enough of those records have to sell to pay it off, before the band sees a pretty penny. Plus, you have to take into account that record companies exist to make a profit, so they'll take a bite out of that, too. Either way, the record company will get theirs, you can be sure of that; they'll take every cent the band would've seen before taking a loss.

Of course if it wasn't for downloading music I probably wouldn't have bought many CDs anyways because I'm not about to go buy a 20 dollar CD for 1 song.

Personally I don't see what his opinion or ethics involving the life of animals has to do with his beliefs on this matter.
Each arguement should be taken in as it is, to refute those points based on those points, not previous points you disagree with.
I for one feel that killing animals, when necessary, is justified. I don't like ending the life of any living creature, but that does not mean that I put their lives above mine or my family's, nor do I feel that they have more rights than I. I am not afraid to hunt, I am not afraid to defend my family, I am not afraid to fish and I am not afraid to eat steak, hamburgers, sushi or any thing that involves meat.
It's nutritious and it tastes quite good.

I agree, there is nothing wrong with downloading this music, but that is my opinion and I will not slander him or beat him over the head simply because he disagrees. I feel that he is incorrect, but let me inquire, what do his habits involving hunting and treatment of animals have to do with his opinion of mp3s and the download of music?

The fact that he approves of killing things, but not of downloading music says something.
