The room was, more or less, hushed at the apparent show down the priest had sought to cause between himself and the warmaster, most believing Zhin Dwamor's respect for the priest caste to be similar to that of Tsavong Lah, who had personally taken a great prejudice against the religious order.
But the time was too precious, Dwamor knew, too soon to allow any form of in-fighting, that was one of the entire reasons he had to pull from the galaxy before schedule last time. Too many ambitions...
But he could not deny the annoyance caused by the priest's apparent arrogance. This was the Worldship of the Yuuzhan Vong! All in this room were equal, though their command chains may be different, in the eyes of Warmaster Zhin Dwamor they were all equally important, none moreso than another in the Yammosk Chamber of his worldship.
And only while in here was it not his own, it belonged to the Yammosk, and it belonged to Yun-Yammka.
The room continued to stare at the warmaster though, his reputation for violent outlashes had been well deserved and well whispered, they had seen him at Nkllon, at Taloraan, at Nal Hutta, he was not the patient type with insubordinates.
But this was the Yammosk Room, this was the most important part of the war thus far, he simply stared at the cocky priest.
"Patience to your bloodlust, Priest-friend of Yun-Yuuzhan," the warmaster responded calmly, "the time for further bloodshed shall come. As this is your first time in this new galaxy, I can understand your ignorance. But you do not assail a
Tgnara without first judging its age."
Others nodded at the philosophy, knowing well the ferocity of
tgnara, though some seemed almost offended by the implications that such a well-known creature of Yuuzhan-Tar could be compared to infidels, though they did understand. The most important thing about fighting the beasts was figuring out its age, then you could size up your battle strategy.
"This is only a test, a scouting mission, we have given them a bloody nose, now we must follow through with the punch. But please Priest-friend, have patience, I assure you much glory and bloodshed are indeed ahead."
With the priest's bloodlust at least temporarily quelled, the warmaster peered ahead at the warrior who had sought to move forces to the ground.
It seemed an obvious thing to do for a junior, wishing to prove himself, earn his scars. Zhin Dwamor shook his head.
"No," he said firmly, clenching his teeth. "Now is not the time, we must keep forces in reserve, but be ready, the infidels are not strong at defending at first, but they are favorable of a counterstrike."
