The Rebel Faction

Kami rubbed at the now sore spot on her tail bone, but still never lost her smile. It was just like old times. She took his hand by the wrist, letting him help her to her feet.

" My ship's docked in port not far from here. It's not much, a slightly modified D11 Runner, but it suits my purposes."

She smacked him across the chest with her barret. " Unless you've got something else in mind?"

She wasn't kidding when she had said her ship was nearby, only a few blocks walk from the bar. Once inside she switched on the power, sending lights illuminating through the entire ship.

" She's small, but she's a good ship. Welcome aboard the God Killer."

She punched him in the arm. " No making fun of my girl."

She moved down the small hall, pointing to the right. " Cabin's there, seats two, but over here..." She oppened one of two hatches that stood side by side. " These are my sleeping quarters. I didn't need the cargo room, so I had some of it converted over and a bulkhead put in, along with some other minor changes."

A suggestive look filled her eyes as Kami took the final step into the room. " Care to have a look?"

" Those are in the other room," She said with a chuckle as he moved past her.

"Six years," Kami removed her cloak, setting her mini bowcaster in its place on the wall mounted next to a few of her other weapons. She lifted herself onto the top of cargo trunk she used to store her clothing and other belongings, watching as he moved about the tiny quarters. " A long time and woman's managed to reel you in yet?"

" A few, but they only mesh long enough to get the job done before I send them on their way.

" But you've gotta know how that goes," She looked away from him a moment, her finger brushing against the scalp-hunter blaster mounted on the wall beside her. " Never in one place long enough to even start looking. Only place I was at longer than a few weeks was Paris Island and -"

Kami stopped herself, a slight blush rising in her cheeks. " And we both remember what happened at Paris Island."
