OOC: Good for you, last I talked to Daren he told me you were pissed and wanted her dead. While I admit, I don't know your reasoning, I'd at least like to learn what it is before your dead. As Tec said in his first post(before he joined) feelings change. Btw, good luck taking out the "Crystal Shard" btw, in case you weren't aware a YV-666 is 225 meters, and this ones modified(or it wouldn't have ion cannons.
IC: The former Rogue's eyes bugged out for a moment as the snubfighter out in from of him as a portion of the ships circuitry was ejected and it began evasive maneuvers. Fortunately the ensign in charge of the shields wasn't shocked the way he was, and the shields blinked into existance even as Kalen returned to normal.
"Open fire on Rogue Four as soon as she fires or attempts escape. Ion cannons only. Watch your fire however, don't hit the other X-wing. I'm headed out as well." Kalen was sprinting down the corridor to the hanger even as he yelled out his orders, trying to connect to the Jedi's comm frequency as he did. He gave up as he leapt down the steps and moved towards his personal fighter. Instead he'd use an open channel, it'd work just as well, he just didn't want the Jedi shooting at him as well.
He tugged on his helmet, not even bothering to connect the straps, and began powering up. Over the fighters comm he called out, to the pilot of the other X-wing, "this is Kalen Baathor. I'll be coming out to assist in disabling Lt. Pelyan. I'm not hostile to you, please do not fire on me." Moments later, the X-wing shot out, the S-foils opening up as he passed through the magloc field. The 'Crystal Shard' had already undocked from the ISD, and was manuevering away from the larger ship.
Turning towards the suicidal pilot, the distance was dropping quickly, and Kalen could just barely see Atalya's outline in the cockpit. At this distance the lasers wouldn't have much effect on his shields, but they would soon. "Tweeter, begin boosting sssss..." Baathor cursed as he realized he'd taken off without his astromech. That would make this more of a challange, but he'd rather it not be happening at all. In the back of his mind he was plagued with bad memories of other life and death situations he'd flown in, often more death than life involved. He could never forget these tragedies, his holographic mind would not allow it. That's why he'd left the Rogues to begin with.
Seemingly on thier own, the ace pilots hands flashed over the controls, redestributing power. His X-wing was not a factory model, over the years he'd had it he'd continually tinkered with it, replacing old parts with better ones, increasing the power generator capacity, and adding an Ion cannon just in front of his position on top of the nose. He pulled all power from the laser cannons, putting half of that into the shields, a fourth of it into the engines, and the last bit into the ion cannon.
He continued rocketing towards Rogue Four, initiating a spin to try and throw off any shots she might fire. As they closed, Baathor flung his ship away as her shots were about to connect, rapidly pulling back on the stick and cut throttle down to a third, rapidly increasing his turn rate, and desperately trying to get behind Pelyan.
EDIT: Sorry about that, I was a bit stressed out at the time, and let my RP get away from myself at the time. In addition, I somehow missed the comment about trying to take out weapons. Odd thing is, I actually thought that while I was writing. Apologies. *tips hat*
*laughs* Rereading it I really was out of it. A number of errors I don't normally make.
