The Rebel Faction

Jai looked over the Noghri, and then glanced questioningly at Mahk...who looked back at her expressionless.

Jai had manners, contrary to popular belief, and bowed slightly to the Noghri that had spoken to her.

"It is nothing, Sajikihm. Think nothing of it."

She looked to Logan as she stood back erect.

"...I would no sooner leave him alone than would Mahk."

Jaina's usually slouched frame visibly stiffenned. She looked over at Mahk, "He does?"

The little Noghri nodded, not moveing his eyes from Logan. Jai wasn't quite sure what to say to that. She had no idea Logan had held her in high esteem. In fact, in these days and times, she found it hard that anyone held her in high <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> anything<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->...

Jai was looking down in thought, her brow slightly furrowed, completely silent. She didn't get that way often...only when her old Jedi meditative ways crept back in and she became deep in thought.

Suddenly she felt Mahk tap her forearm. She blinked out of her meditative state and look at him. He motioned to Logan who was beginning to turn...

Jai followed obediantly.

The two made thier way to a small cafe a few blocks away...with Mahk not far behind. They sat at a table on the sidewalk and ordered thier respective drinks. Only after the drinks came, and the moment seemed right, did Jai break the silence...

"So...what shall we talk about, Logan?"

Jai doubted Logan was listening, seeeing that far-off look in his eyes made her think so.

"Well...my baby sister Cairo is alright. Being a annoying Bormean, as always. My Mother...well, I couldn't care less. And my Dad is...well...", Jai couldn't help but smirk, "Dad is Dad."

Jai continued, "My twins are fine. Beau and Brenna...have you ever seen them? They're beautiful children. Beauregard is just like his father...and Brenna, well, she's more like her grandmother than anyone. Unfortunatly."

"My husband...well..I suppose he's alright."
Jai suddenly became very quiet, and idly stirred her Nubian Tea...
"I haven't seen him in a long time. He's a Jedi, you see...A Master, in fact. His training of his many padawan keeps him away. I haven't seen him since the twins were born."
She looked down and sighed, "They're five now."

Jai and Logan just looked at each other for a moment...unspoken volumes passing between them.

Then, all of the sudden, a young boy ran up...from the looks of him, he was from the filling station..."Mrs. Darklighter...Mrs. Jai...Jai, your <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Millennium Jade Falcon<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> is fulled up and ready for you."

Jai had turned to him, "Thank you, Zeekan." She turned back to Logan, and the little boy seem dissapointed, and started to walk off. Jai noticed this out of the corner of her eye and called him back, "Zeekan, wait...come back here for a second, pal."

The little boy plopped back over sadly, "Yes, Mrs. Jai?"

She smiled and pulled him to her, whispering something in his ear about extra credits later for him if he'd watch over her ship for her.

The boy brighten immedatly and kissed her cheek, "Whoopee! Thanks Jaya! Uh..I mean...Mrs. Jai. Bye!"

With that, the little boy ran off, and Jai turned back to Logan with a smirk..."I'm in no hurry to get back to Delph, Zeekan will keep a lookout on my ship for awhile."
