As for the stats I quoted, 187 yards is total yards from scrimmage, rushing and receiving.
In that quote he's not really blasting the ex-offensive coordinator Cam Cameron. The Chargers beat themselves in that game, and it was largely due to coaching. You have an opinion of LT based on a very short exposure to him. Yes, LT did get overly pissed at the end of that playoff game. Why? Because he wanted to win so bad it hurt. Truth is they should have won, they really were the better team. They played terribly and still nearly won the game. LT definitely overreacted, there's no doubt. Him calling out Coach Belichick at the game was completely uncalled for. But I know why he did it, he was taking the loss completely personally. He made a mistake. 9 times out of 10 LT's gonna do the classy thing, in that case he didn't. You're right.
As far as the whole celebration thing, like I said it's all about context and perspective. The game was already over, there's nothing wrong with celebrating, but the way the Patriots did it (not all the Patriots mind you), was sending a big "fuck you" to the Chargers. That's where our opinions part, you're viewing things from one perspective and I'm viewing them from another. I don't have any problems with players celebrating during a game, or even after a game (Chad Johnson amuses the shit out of me). How could you not celebrate such a huge win? I'm just saying that the way they did celebrate it was pretty shitty, and they could have done it another way.
The reason I find all of this ironic is that for the vast majority, I see the Patriots as a very classy organization. As a distraught fan, yes I was pissed to see them spitting in our faces at the end of the game the way they did. But even then, it was only like one player, or a small number of players. But I can definitely see why someone like LT, who works harder than any of us year-round with the sole goal of winning a championship, gets so bent out of shape when your story book season comes to a screeching halt. Did he handle it perfectly? Obviously not, he let the emotion get the better of him, but I think that's part of the reason he's the best player in the NFL also.
I see where you're coming from, and I'm coming from somewhere completely different. So I guess we can just agree to disagree. But realize, these outburts are rarer than rare for LT, like I said 9 out of 10 times he's gonna do the classiest thing possible.
