At close point range, not an eye in sight could tell what the fallen Jedi was feeling as she walked deeper and deeper into the forest, away from the place that she once called home.
Many things were on her mind then. Now had been no time for reflecting, but Amalia found herself stopping dead set in the darkness of the forest, looking toward the direction of the academy.
Those days are long gone now... All I have to look to is tomorrow...
She felt the presence of her son, and as unwelcoming those feelings were, she smiled, though it was not the smile that identified Amalia.
It was Malice that had made her smile.
He wastes no time. Pathetic fool. What does he think he will accomplish....my son is still my son, no matter where I go or what I do. He will always be my son.
"Take him," she said lightly, laughing with amuzement.
He couldn't take what he was to her.
"Blood of blood. Yours will one day soon become mine, Malice..."
She laughed a little more and then continued on her way, Han not far from making contact with her again.
She rolled her eyes, very much annoyed with his presence. He was dead, the least she could do was amuse his poor soul.
Is that so? I have failed you? What about you? It seems that you and I have drifted toward the same path. Yet you speak to me as if I have failed you. Ha! Where have you been in my time of need, Han?
Where had any of them been?
Amalia sighed to herself.
I was thinking maybe you could tell me. Did you enjoy your death, Han? I doubt it, so what makes you think I would? What makes you think anyone would?
It was then that whatever expression had come to Amalia's face completely disappeared at the mention of one Organa Solo.
Han was met with silence for several moments as Amalia walked on, looking only but in front of her. Both Han and Leia on her mind.
A shiver ran through her entire body, she wrapped her arms around her waist. She stopped once again and closed her eyes.
She felt Leia Organa Solo's presence.
The hero. The Jedi. The strong. Composed. Unbreakable. That was just on the outside. The inside was a completely different matter.
Amalia thought privately to herself for a moment before responding to Han.
So she has finally noticed, but she has no idea what I have yet to become...
....Amalia narrowed her eyes, moved to wrap her robe more tightly around her.
...Something too has happened to her. Jedi...It was not the blade of a Jedi that took Han's life today.
Amazing, even with the grasp of the darkside, she still could feel Leia.
It would have worried Amalia. She felt Han's death just as it occurred, felt both Han and Leia's feelings. She'd pushed both of them aside then, shrugging off both figures as if they had meant nothing.
Han forced her to reflect somehow. He had caught himself in a place where he did not belong.
You know little of what you speak, Han. Before she turns her back on me?? She already has! For months now I have been with failure. I have failed her. Comfort and guidance are the only things she knows how to give. Day in and day out I feel her presence in my mind as I walk this very planet! Day after day she feels and I feel her too! It never goes away, and I am useless to do anything about it. Time after time she turns away from me and I am left only to feel!
Amalia's pace quickened.
Confront her? Yes, that is what you want me to do, isn't it? I care not to waste my time, Han. Too much time I have wasted. I have better things to do with my time.
Han's death would haunt Leia, but so would his spirit.
You are wasting your time, Han. Leave it to someone else. Your words will change nothing. Her path is her own, she needs no confrentation to see that.
The Academy and her home had long gone out of view by now, but the connections via the force with her students, friends, and family still remained with her. Something that the darkside could not even manage to take away, even through traces of the darkside.
She was now a threat to all who knew her. No one was safe, not even the Sith.
She'd be gone missing, but she would be back. Soon all would know the true wraith of the darkside...
