Just some red tape to cut through, concerning your NPC Matriarch:
Your Matriarch will remain an NPC character. She will be, strictly, a teacher for new members/lower ranked members of the faction. She cannot venture into any other threads, save for training threads, and she cannot be used as a viable means against enemies who may, or may not, be attacking you or your faction.
In this respect, she will be treated as any NPC; this means she can, and will, be defeated by a Played Character (PC), despite that PC's rank or abilities. This is true of every NPC, so don't think we're being unfair.
Also, once one of your membership gains the rank of Warrior, it will be expected that that character (being a PC) will take over the majority of training, as a Knight can train Apprentices to an acceptable degree. This, of course, is optional - but remember that being trained by a PC is far more beneficial than being trained by an NPC...
Please note: The Force Council will decide all rank promotions, and no PC can be raised in rank (whether in RP, or OOC) until the vote has been made, and the result has been given by said Force Council. This is the same for all Force Using factions.
Needless to say, this means that if your Matriarch (as a Knight cannot promote) thinks a pupil is ready for promotion, then you must send the request to the Force Council; to which they will vote, discuss and get back to you with the result. Said result is final, and you cannot begin acting as though the PC in question has already ranked – she will remain at her current rank until told otherwise by the Force Council. To which your NPC Matriarch can then do an RP to show the promotion - not before.
Please refer to the Force Abilities Guide when allocating your faction's abilities/spells/magic per rank allowance.
I will, personally, start working with you on the rank-verses-power aspect of this faction when you are ready.

Note: Apologies for the, seemingly, restrictive rulings on this faction, but it remains you are a Force faction, and extra care is taken to ensure all such factions remain fair (Jedi, Sith, Rogue, and now Nightsisters).
