Six days validation period. You may well post your 5,000 word novel-entrant in a single go, however; and sad though this may be, the thing was a waiting period of six days. Why?

There are those of us out there, who if not properly restrained, would post a "PT" a day and quickly rule out any competitors. This is fair only for the few members capable of such speed and totally unfair to those members who can only manage one or two posts, on the smaller side, a week.

To claim a planet as your own, as in a fully owned property under the Fleeters FAQ and Planet FAQ, one must complete a 5,000 word story detailing the acquisition of that body, recognizable only after a six day period (and 5,000 words) have been supplied. This applies to all planets not currently listed on the Planets List.

However; the only reason to own a planet is thus; to expand a faction. Without a faction there is little purpose or reason for owning such a body. To create a faction there are other requirements which must be met. Most importantly, to my mind, is the 'unspoken' rule that one should at least spend a comfortable amount of time at TRF before undertaking such an effort. The reasons for this are simple and evidenced by history; TRF is incredibly complex and it's ideology extends far beyond the Rules and FAQ. One cannot become truly formalized without investing some time and effort into TRF.

Overall you seem to be on the right track, so continue with blessings.

And let me say...

i'm done with the stupid questions

Yes, indeed. One must always consider the Irtarded and cater to their needs with such things as; helemts at all times and padding the sharp corners.

Is dead. Would rather not be.
So, since there aren't any stupid questions . . .
Beff said there's a six day waiting period. Does that mean a person has to wait six days before claiming another world, or six days before the world is recognized as property of whatever group captured it?

And expanding a faction isnt the only reason to takeover planets; sometimes the siezure of a planets is needed to develop a character and his roll in trf. Whle expanding a faction is definitely the major purpose for planetary takeovers, I really dont think it's fair to say that it's the only reason anyone would ever takeover a planet.

I do. And I did.

Fact; Character Development is not limited by planetary possession.

To develop your character you do not need to 'own' the planet he/she/it is from/on/of.

Six days as explained previously and in the Rules section. Only Factions can own planets, thus; the only motivator to own a planet is to own a faction.

What Beff means is that your takeover thread, from the first post, to the last post, should take a minimum of six days to complete.

I dont think anyone would protest you roleplaying on their factions planet. Keeping in mind that you dont alter the groups history on the planet. Owning a planet is basically for gathering tons and tons of resources. If your character needs a handfull of spice, I wouldnt think he would need to takeover Kessel.

I've posted five thousand word posts before. Dunno if there are any here, but there might be.
