The Rebel Faction

The Admiral gazed out onto the battlefield. He considered himself to be in a good position. The fighters that were launched by the enemy were both slow and unshielded. They provided excellent cover as they were being torn apart by hundreds of weapons from both the Sovereignty and Farfalen. The fast-tracking Wyverns made quick work of any that got to close while the Sovereignty's vain attempts to destroy the Zen were primarily being blocked by their fighters or their fighters debris.

"Send my condolences to the Captains of the Pummel, Eyes, and Scout. Ask them to leave the battlefield if at all possible."

"Yes sir."

"And initate the double-wide two on the left." Jzoks concluded.

"Yes sir." The two Shotos lurched forward and upwards at a slight angle, all guns tamed on the ISD to the left of them. Then, in an instant they rocketed forward pushing hyperspace, but not quite and all their weapons unloaded a salvo as they passed. The Shotosslowed down about three-hundred kilometers away, while pulling into a hard left to whip around, their shields popping back online.

The Zen, on the other hand, lurched down the angle then rocketed forward in suite with the two Shotos, unleashing a slew of fire onto the same ISD, as in went beneath it. It came to a slow down about 400 kilometers out, and made the turn around even quicker and like clockwork their shields activated.

I just about forefiet the Gunships and Strike Cruiser.
The ISD on your right side, took the damage. Whatever you think is fair for 440 Turbolaser bolts, 250 Laser bolts, 150 titanium shells, 800 [Though some may be picked off by turbolasers, less than 5% due to speed, I reckon], and 65 Ion bolts hitting one.)

The ragtag fleet of three stood strong several hundred kilometers away from the ORS fleet. They had the victory within their grasp and did not intend to give it up. They were back-peddling keeping the distance between them an the ORS fleet, all the while having all engineers and troops make repairs to the shield systems.

"Whats the status?" Asked Jzoks.

"We will be at 50% shields in about ten minutes. With the Yakiba already past 50% and the Zukuri at 40% and climbing. But their shields are stronger."

"And guns?"

"Nothing to severe a few turbolasers here and there but nothing that won't stop us from winning."

"Excellent. Program a series of micro-jumps around the planet to buy us some more to time to ready ourselves if needbe. I don't see them doing anything that could warrent the effect, but just incase. Anything that could get them here before our shields hit fifty."

"Aye Cap'n."

The ground troops offered a prayer to any Outer Rim Sovereignty casulaties, and continued their preperations fo war.

"Sir, our troops are all ready."

"Excellent. Everyone has enviro suits, and they are all heavily armed. Get the seals on the glitterstim mines ready."

"Yes sir."

The Galactic Coalition had continued to mine glitterstim, but had not sold any of it on the open market. They had only used it to slowly help people come over their addiction. All the labour was done by droids and people who volunteered. Production was slow, due to not a lot of volunteers, but the Galactic Coalition had kept the mines working. They also ahd numerous methods to deal with intruders, and had set up large, loud noise making machinery to keep the energy spiders deep in the mines. Troops were spread out in garrisons and in the mines. It would take lots of effort before the enemy culd completely eradicate Kessel of it's defences.

5 999 000 Troops-On the Surface in four garrisons, all with one enterance into the mines under them(entrances are vertical tunnels with large turbolifts), heavily protected and with five sets of five meter thick durasteel doors on preparing to shut over them(the doors are on top of each other, except for one, which is where the tunnels take a sharp 90 degree angel turn, to go horizontally, go down that tunnel five meters, and that is where the last door is, after that the tunnel goes downwards again)A large building in the center of each garrison, with 10m thick armor covers those holes. The garrisons are all within two kilometers two others.(in a square)

OOC:I was hoping. There is actually 4 garrisons, in a square, with the perimeter being 4km. I'll just say you bombarded them all, slightly)

IC:

Troops ran from their positions, and ran into the mines. The energy spiders had crawled deep into the mines, and had even begun extending the holes even more trying to get away from the noise. of the turbolasers. Troops immediatly took the large noise generators, and pushed them farther into the mines. They would need more room to operate effectively. Metal was melted before the troops eyes. The outer walls of the garrison had literally been liquified. The heat from the blasts had vaporized some of the troops. More and more of the troops ran into the mines.

"Sir, the enterance to the mine in garrison one is shut down. Rocks cover it."

"Crap. Get those surviving troops on shuttles and get them to a different garrison."

"Yes sir."

"Then close the remaining mine door for that enterance."

"Yes sir."

The troops continued to run from the bombardment.
