I was not impressed with Dead Man's Chest. Too long, too outlandish, and ZERO resolution. I know, there's another sequel... but a movie should be able to stand on its own without a sequel. DMC does not.

Yeah, that was the problem. The Curse of the Black Pearl could have just been a lone movie and I would have been happy. However DMC's ending isn't at all an ending.
And I never saw the thing at the end cause my girlfriend didn't listen to me when I said "hey, there was a clip at the end of the credits after the first movie, there might be one this time" but she felt like leaving.

Here is a little something that basically sums up what I think of the movie. It was alright, but could have been a whole lot better. Anyways, take a look at this and enjoy. Ask a Ninja: Special Deliver 7 "Pirates of the Caribbean"

[font=times][indent]I felt that the film had much more potential to be better, and I'm going to have to say that I liked POTC I better than POTC II. I thought it was just a bit too 'comical' maybe? I felt that POTC I was just more serious, I suppose. Jack Sparrow and his eccentric persona is always fun to watch, though, I'll admit. ;D
Oh, and let me complain about those credits! I was told to stay after the credits because there was something after. So I waited for the lonnnnngest time, and all I see is a DOGGG for two seconds!? ;; I got up and ran out. I thought I was going to scream, haha.[/font][/indent]

I thought Dead Man's Chest sucked. It was all in all just a boring flick, that just striked me as disjointed and throwing in the odd joke they had already done in the previous film. The ending was shitty and so on and so forth. And I was so looking forward to it being as good as the first but alas...
BUT I do have a theory now that POTC series is like the Halo Series. Halo 1 and POTC 1 were great and could've stood on their own. Halo 2 and POTC 2 have crap endings. Halo 2 and POTC 2 mainly rehash a lot of what's been done before while throwing in a new enemy that's supposedly always been there. A major factor changes sides in POTC 2 and Halo 2 (Elite in Halo, A person at the end of POTC 2). Etc.

I saw the 'Ask A Ninja: Special Delivery POTC II' and that was extremely comical, although I'm still yet to see the film, I've heard that it is really good and the whole 'Ask A Ninja' thing entices me to watch it more to see if it is true what he says. I am so going to have to see it soon.
