A howtizer IS a gun.
Well, actually, according to military science - a howitzer fires on a slightly arced trajectory, a gun fires on a flat trajectory and is used for anti-aerial or anti-armor purposes, and a mortar fires on a highly arced trajectory.
My favorites - the Sturmgewehr 44 - the weapon off of which the Abliat Kalahnikova 1947 was modelled after.
As for rifles - the Mauser 98K
Pistol - the Walther p-38
however, the Americans actrually produce a contender with this one - the Browning/Colt M1911A .45 calibre pistol

General military assault weapon 0- Fallschrimjaegergewehr (airborne assault gun)34
