Yes, well done Ankh. It kind of reminds me of an allegory, except it's a picture.

I agree with Titus, the third one's looking the best so far. I'm pretty clueless about masks myself but here's another way you can go about it: just select your original drawing (lineart only) and click on the Channels tab, next to Layers. Click on RGB so that all the channels are highlighted and then click the small dotted circle at the furthermost bottom left of that window. Your whole drawing should "come alive" with dashed lines. Hit delete, and right-click the drawing to deselect. What you're left with is the black lineart only -- all the white blank spaces should have been deleted. Afterwards, create a new blank layer on top of the lineart and set the blending mode to Multiply, and colour as necessary (using the polygonal lasso tool to select areas to fill in; this is much more effective than the wand, albeit slightly more painstaking). This way you won't colour over the black outlines in your original lineart layer.

I can't abide colouring in so it's been a while since I tried that method out, but for us Photoshop dunces, it's much much easier than fiddling with masks or whatnot. =P

(Psst, I am so, so sorry for being so horrible about your sig. I haven't really done anything worthwhile using Photoshop in forever. I'll get it done this week though, mmk ? Again, I apologise. I am sucky. =\)

I really cannot stand The GIMP. It's pretty horrid from a UI standpoint.

Nice work. Not bad at all for just playing around with it, and learning on your own.

I use blur frequently to smooth faces out. I love it.

Strip Tease For Me, Baby / Tie Me To The Bed, Dear
it's to the point where I have exhausted my supply of pictures on my own comp so I've hunted for them on those rate my picture sites... I figure if their picture is up there, they are already asking us to judge them so I guess they won't mind if I clean up their skin :-p

I've also found I can do minor cosmetic surgery but it takes two programs because I can't get Photoshop to cut and paste then allow me to move what ever I pasted... haven't figured that out yet...

original, after, then just playing surgeon picture ((edit: reverse this, the images show up in the opposite order after I posted ))

I should point out I find nothing wrong with the way this lady looks, I'm just playing with photoshop...

I love messing around with photoshop, mostly just photo manipulation though. Practicing with actually drawing and colouring pictures on my own now.
