A) Brant is evidently referring to the Venator class of ship as seen in Attack of the Clones. The big Star Destroyerish drop ships employed by the Republic.

Why we don't use them anymore? It's a drop ship, not a space superiority vessel. You may see a few launched for troop landings, but we've largely replaced them.

B) Age of ships. Beff raises a very valid point; however, the Wrath Virus led to a large-scale scrapping of government fleets because it was too costly to mantain them any longer. Therefor, a good deal of ships in government employ are relatively new... when it came time to scrap ships, the oldest were scrapped first.

BTW, for the interested: the TNO Venerator Class Command Destroyer was and remains one of the most powerful, technologically advanced warships in the galaxy.

No, i was referrign to both the Venator-Class Star Destroyer seen in Revenge of the Sith AND the Acclaimator-Class TransGalactic Troop Transport seen in Attack of the Clones.

And what of the Acclaimator II-Class ships from the EU?

Kneel Before Zod!
Ahh.... Drayson beat me to it.

Marth, don't confuse Venator and Venerator. And yes, the Venerator is still top of the line Command Class Vessel capable of destroying anything the GC can field.. anything the GC can conceive... anything the GC can dream... ANYTHING!!

mwahahahahahah!

*gack*

err..

Carry on.

Not to worry Ahnk, the thread will take place about 13 years before the "now" on TRF, and I plan on every ship we steal being destroyed, maybe all but one. That is yet to be seen.
