As a general rule, I go with the equation: The song entitled "S.h.i.t.", by the band "SHIT", about shit is typically loved by shit-faced little shits.

I like music with hard, crunching guitars, good drumming, and an angry voice that can still stay in tune, and a six string bass is a plus.
Other than that I don't care what the lyrics are. As long as the guy's not swallowing the mic instead of singing I'll probably like it.
