I read the novels until the Vong (there's enough disappointments in life without it), but I never heard of Dannik Jerriko.

He's in a book of short stories called Tales from Mos Eisley (I think that's the name) -- it tells the story of everyone who was in the cantina that day Luke and Obi Wan went in there.
