"Missile boats entering hyperspace sir."

"Are the coordinates locked in?"

"Yes sir. Standard jumping procedures prepared."

The Captain nodded. A series of short microjumps followed by two longer jumps. The process was decidedly simple be but very effective for throwing off pursuers.

"You may enter hyperspace when ready."

Moments later the Noir Soleil streaked away from the conflict.....

"Do we have a a probable course?"

"Not one that leads anywhere."

"Damn. All right, lets get moving. Disable that Kaloth Cruiser."

The RSD and Firewind Light Cruiser moved in and pounded on the Kaloth Cruiser, with their ion cannons. The fighters disabled the enemy freighters with their own ion cannons.

"Sir, both freighters have been disabled."

"Good job. Start bringing them in with our tractor beams. What about the Kaloth?"

"25% disabled on the port side, engines 80% disabled."

"Can they make hyperspace?"

"I doubt it."

"Good job."

Damages:
2 Freighters disabled
1 Kaloth, port side 20% disabled, aft 80% disabled.

The Kaloth fought on ineffectually. The pirate captain had no hope of winning, but in an attempt to salvage some pride attempted to keep firing his guns as long as possible.

After several minutes the Kaloth's generators failed. A hail of ion blasts sent blue lightning charging through its hull. Dead in the water, the Kaloth and the frieghter sat unmoving, their crews awaiting their fates.

OOC:I didn't use my turbolasers on your Kaloth. Your Starchasers were already destroyed/1 disabled. You had no ships but the Kaloth to destroy the Kaloth.

IC:

"Sir, the Kaloth has been disabled."

"Excellent. Send a message to the traders saying we will escort them, and are awaiting them. Get some tugs out here immediately, with their own escort. Bring in the freighters and the disabled Starchaser."

"Yes sir."

The two freighters and the Starchaser were caught by the tractor beams, and started to move closer and closer to Liberty Star's hanger.

Meanwhile a force of tugs, along with an escort of another RSD, 2 Defender Gunships, full fighter complement and a large number of shuttles, with full troop complement, including 16 Sentinel Shuttles and a YT-1300, was sent to the position.
