And, after a long flight and many hours of sleeping, I'm back. :grin

After seeing Episode III, I've decided

1) It has too much flash. Where's the used universe from the OT? I want the ships to look old and battered, not these shiny fresh-off-the-market machines. Apparently, cleaning staff are much more lazy once the Empire comes around.

2) The dialogue. Boring to outright painful to listen to. I really wish he (Lucas) could have come up with something better to match his vision.

Not only is it Lucas' fault, but the blame needs to be divided out among the actors. They've done well in other films, so why all the trouble with Star Wars?

They probably lack the imagination. Even in the OT, it was hard because of all the special effects that were to be involved. There was no James Earl Jones for Vader's voice yet; instead, there was a tall man in a black suit with a scottish (I believe, anyway) accent. Alderaan was just a picture of a planet, someone shouted "Bang!" and the picture disappeared. Star Wars requires a great amount of ability and imagination from its actors; obviously, it was too daunting a job for the Prequels batch to handle.

That's about it. It's good to see every one of you again. I'll bring pictures after next trip, when I can spend more time.

Because Lucas is a director that doesn't let the actors act the part, rather, forces them to do his vision.

Hmm... maybe. Well, the movies are over, and it's no use chatting about how it could have been better. It isn't. They won't ever be.

Here's hoping those television shows turn out better.

Welcome back!

..as for the actors, well..

Its difficult trying to act in front of a blue screen, because there is absolutely nothing there, at least in the OT days whilst filming they had backdrops (you' know the corridors that were in actual fact painted boards), and quite a few sets.

Lets the actors lose themselves easier, personally I think all the bluescreen stuff has been overdone, to the detriment of the films, sorry George.

Which is why ESB was uber good, because GL didn't hardly have any involvement in it. Just mostly production and special effects.
