Yeah I know what you mean. Another one, a 12-year older from like Sarasota or something is now missing as well, although they think that this is a case of parental negligence or something like that.

Arguable, and completely irrelevent. Because while you may utterly destroy Al Queida, the fact that terrorism continues to be an effective means of attacking one's enemies means that it will always exist.

Destroying one terrorist organization will by no means halt terrorism. Indeed (if we consider Iraq part of the 'war on terror') the means by which we destroy said terrorist organization may cause more terrorism than a lack of (armed, hostile) response.

y'know, I think that was the principle behind the Empire's early strategy to deal with the GLF.

If they ignored it, pretended nothing was happening, and shouted down any occurances, then no one would believe it even exists and thus no one would join or support it, and nothing would happen to create more terrorists.
