"And what exactly is wrong with the name Thumper?"
'Idioteque' is possibly one of the greatest songs ever!
I think it's one of their poorer songs, to be honest. I mean sure, it's instantly likeable and has great lyrics/beat/vocals etc. but I really feel that it lacks the depth that a lot of their other work provides in droves. It's the only song on Kid A that I tend to feel the urge to skip when listening to the whole album (you'd think it would be something like 'treefingers' but no, that song's just awesome).
But meh, just my opinion. Compared to their other stuff I don't hold it in such high regard, but I suppose that if you put it up against most other modern music it'd shoot past to the stars.
As a point of interest I picked up both of Interpol's albums on Grevious' recommendation (quite a while ago). Antics wasn't that great but Turn On The Bright Lights was absolutly fantastic. It's so great to find an album that's downbeat without actaully being depressing or making you feel like shit when you listen to it. Amazing stuff.
Coldplay: repetitive and annoying, but good for a little while. Beautiful Midnight is one of my all-time favourites. Chau's Radiohead fandom established via older brother, not TRF (unfortunately).
I'm going to reiterate a point I made a month or so ago - if looking to get into a new band, give Pluto a shot.

...Now repeat after me: Pluto is a major rad band from Aotearoa whose CDs I am going to import/download/steal from little children at all costs.
When I snap my fingers you shall awaken, and go forth into the world to do your groove thing.

Even more importantly the drug addled brit rock antics of Oasis are being revisted when their new album comes out in a week or two.
I heard a couple of stolen tracks and the slow love song one kicked ass.

ad astra per aspera
I like Shinedown and Chevelle.
I will probably be hunted down and exterminated for it, however.

What little I've heard by Chevelle I've liked. I don't have any of their albums though. I've been listening to Downhere's No Room For Substitues quite a bit recently.

Yeah, they are playing "Lyla" over here as well.

defy the tyrannous stars
I find it difficult to enjoy anything Oasis release now, especially since it generally sounds the same as all of their past stuff anyway. Very generic and bland. Their time has past. And Liam is a wanker.
