Who ever said they knew? Not saying they dont, just wondering what the basis of your assumption is...

Personally, I did not see any mention of "beating GC there" or "Beating GC in a fleet battle" mentioned anywhere in the thread. Though I could quite possibly have missed it.

The first post of his is quite believable. A planet inside the declared BDE sphere of influence not directly under the Imperiums control, diplomatic undertones are the least thing to be expected from the Imperium. A more unbelievable thing might be that they had not already happened.

I can not defend the second posts reference to tactical action, basicaly becuase I know *part* of the plot, but not all of it.

Well. You knew we were after the two planets, Raktus. And you decided to intervene. We are not talking about your IC actions. It just seems a bit unfair to us that you looked at the thread, suddenly saw which planets we were taken, and said "Oh no! look what they are doing! we need to take it before they do!"

That is unfair.

And it is kind of low.

This means that any plan to enter soverign space, the space belonging to the populations of the two planets in Ashes of Eden, for example, would probably involve some sort of diplomatic delegation first.

Read the damn takeover. There ARE NO populations.

The second RP concerns the Farfalen angle in which Fwillsving lies in Kessel space. Vincent Harker was supposed to handle that takeover way before the GC decided to look in that direction. Unfortunately, Harker quit on us before he got started.

But the planet is under the sphere of influence in Kessel space, so the Farfalen have every right to move in.

I dislike the term "sphere of influence" because a. it's always changing and b. isn't the entire known galaxy the Empire's sphere of influence?

You don't see TNO interrupting threads.

fuck that duck
Personally, I see no problem with BDE involving itself in an RP that involves takeovers within their "borders", so to speak. Now, I haven't read the RP in fulll, but it seems to me BDE just sort of "decided" that they were going to invade the world and got there, wouldn't you know it, just before or at the same time as the GC.

Touchy.

For a good (imo) example of a takeover interfered with, check out TRE and TNO's Geonosis thread...

Grevious:
Sorry, but I can't let the GC continue their expansion into our territories, especially between the Tion Cluster and Kessel. As you can see, your boundaries already seperate the Kessel Sector from BDE space.
Well he just said it right there didn't he? "I can't let the GC continue their expansion into our territories". And just how exactly did he know that GC was doing this? Hmmm... because he saw the thread... mixing OOC knowledge with IC knowledge... very nice.

Return of the King of the Cafe!
I don't want to start an argument here. If we have a valid case the staff will review it and consider taking action or allowing the thread to run its' course.

I shall simply state that my stance is one that to launch an in-character takeover of two planets immeadietly after you learn out-of-character that those two planets will soon be taken if you don't seems at least a little suspiscious. Perhaps if there was just one planet, and you happened to take it because there were very few left to take, but two at the same time? It is a little unusual.

That is all I wish to say on the matter, and I request the rest of GC hold back on arguing until such a time we may learn of wether or not the staff chooses to investigate the matter further.

I would hold back my argument Dolash, but I've been sick lately so I don't really know when I'll next be on the computer so I wanted to get this out now.

All right here Grevious, lets make something clear. Teth is not in your space Neither is Fwillsving. Fwillsving you didn't even include in your space on the map. Teth you did, but you don't even control the damn planet, probably haven't mentioned it in any of your RPs and didn't try to take the thing until we started the RP. So we are not going into your space, cause its not yours. Get that into your head. Teth is neutral.

As for your damn sphere of influence, it is completely bullshit and doesn't exist. You can make your map however you want, and show that you control all this giant area, but if you really don't have any planets there, or even near there, you don't control the area. (Even TNO doesn't do that, all they have is certain trade routes that cut across the galaxy to link up their planets and while I don't like that, it is reasonable since they are the biggest group and have like 30 more planets than you.) You don't control any planets near Teth (or at least not any shown on the map. GC owns a lot more planets that are a lot closer to it than you. So Teth would not be in your sphere of influence. As well the entire area 'south' of Mon Calamari that you took, well lets just say you don't own any planets there either, so its fair game to any one.

As for your claim that by expanding and taking Teth/Fwillsving we would cut off Kessel sector from the Tion sector, that is the truth, yes, but it isn't our fault that you happened to take two of our planets, Kessel and Honoghr, and didn't think to take Fwillsving to secure you a passage to your own space, or take Kubindi, Tammar, Bimmisaari or Kegan.

Further more, yes it is legal to interfere with takeovers, but it is very rarely done. And in the one that I know of, TRE/TNO takeover of Geonosis, TNO at least gave TRE the chance to get to the planet before them. You, however, did not and jumped right in before I was able to post it. And by that I mean right before cause you posted it twenty minutes before I got home from school and I was planning on making the post right after school.

And yes as Dolash mentioned in his last post it is quite curious that your group ICly just decided to take 2 planets right before we sent out delegations to the two planets.

Finally I ask for the thread to be put on hold while it gets reviewed, not only for these arguments but also the ones that Demo raised in a different thread.

I agree. Jan has raised valid points that must be addressed.

As the starter of the thread, I ask for it to be placed on hold pending the staff's review of it.
