Seventh Carrier? Was that an old series about some WWII Japanese Carrier frozen in an iceberg and thawed out after some Chinese Satellite took out all modern technology or something?

The one I found was first in the series, in an used bookstore right down the street. It's about what was supposed to have been a seventh Japanese aircraft carrier that was to strike at Pearl Harbour with the other six, but it was trapped in ice. Some forty years later, it breaks free and attempts to carry out her mission then.

The curator of the Louvre is murdered, and he leaves a series of clues to lead to the murderer. He's a member of a secret brotherhood, descended from the Knights Templar (who I'm sure you know a little about), and this Brotherhood guards the secret of the Holy Grail. Of course, he's murdered, as are the other three members who know where the Grail is, and so he leaves these clues for his granddaughter and another guy to track down and keep the secret.
It's rather difficult to explain, but I do recomend it. It's being torn apart by critics for misrepresenting history and stuff... but as a piece of fiction, it's great. Hard to put down, the author is very good at crafting suspense.

Right now, I'm reading the Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald for my English course. Personally, I'm finding it like being beaten to death by a wet rag. Also, I'm reading the Castle by Franz Kafkha, and that is a pretty decent book. Also, I've been trying to read Shogun by James Clavell and that book is pretty good, if you can deal with the length.
