If your looking for a group to join, here are some ideas.
Lightside: The only active lightside group is The New Galactic Coalition, led by me and Dolash. Milkshake is also a member, as is Park Kraken, under a different name. And thats it for our members who have posted in this thread. We do pretty much everything, other than train Jedi. But you can belong to us and TJO, so you can become a Jedi as well. Most other lightside groups are inactive.
Neutral:
The Black Dragon Empire is the main fleeting faction that battles other factions. They're pretty cool, control a bunch of planets, and do lots of fun stuff. I don't think they have any force users, but I could be wrong.
The Vinda Corporation is another neutral group, but I don't think they really engage in fleet battles against other groups (or at least not that I have seen). Seth Vinda is their leader. They're also pretty cool, do lots of fun stuff, but I don't really know what.
The Cree'ar Dominion is a race of aliens (or a few races) from outside the galaxy. They own some planets, do some fleeting against other groups. They're pretty small, but have friends in high places, like BDE, so they aren't likely to be crushed any time soon.
The Anthos Republic I don't know a lot of about, they fleet, have fun, own planets, and are led by Titus. I personally don't know much about them.
Darkside:
The major one is The New Order, the biggest group here at TRF, pretty much always have been, and probably will for a long time in the future. They fleet, kill people, have fun, and generally beat everyone that attacks them. They do pretty much everything, and TNSO, the Sith faction here at TRF is part of their group, so you can be a Sith and still be in their group.
The Union is another darkside faction. They are a group of various companies, legal and criminal, including some terrorists, who control a bunch of planets, but so far nobody really knows they exist ICly. They do everything, but I don't know about force users in their faction, I don't think they have any, but it could be that none have joined them.
And that is a rough over view of some of the groups here at TRF, I apologise if some of the information is wrong.

I was thinking the union already because I know estro and I planned on being dark, but I was also considering force sensitivity in which I have not yet figured out how I will go about that.

You could join more than one group, even if their enemies, just use a different name, but tell the leader who you are.
Example: Park Kraken is an Imperial Admiral, something in the Black Dragon Empire, and then a member of the New Galactic Coalition.
So you could join the Union with your current character (that is if the Union doesn't want force users), and then join another group that accepts Force users with a new character, like TNO or NGC.
