Your people would IC have the edge there because of your stealthy scouting missions. However, I was personally against thinking that your "stealth scouting" missions went to every planet in BDE for confirmation. I would think they merely scouted bordering worlds and only a few at that. Given that, you might infer BDE retreated from their borders but unless you are sending ships willy-nilly all through BDE space, to simply say Raktus and ALL BDE tech is now gone from the entirety of BDE space is a bit of a reach.
In your most excellent of explanation of Reavers, I personally would have been more comfortable in the explanation of missing BDE tech and removal of "intelligence web" from Dracconis being more localized (as in what your people have seen on bordering worlds) rather than encompassing all of BDE. As far as people know, Raktus may still be around and unless an expedition is sent to Dameo, that question is still in the air.
What I meant, tho, about biting you in the butt is if you suddenly say, "well my stealth ships went to Dameo and every planet and found no evidence of such and such", what happens when/if Ahnk writes about massive Dominion shipbuilding/soldier making/population enslaving/mass religious conversions going on in former BDE worlds since they are his worlds now? The question would be: why did your stealthy scout ships see that Raktus and BDE tech is gone forever on former worlds but miss all that other stuff??
Again, I would have been more comfortable with a smaller, localized scouting footprint and modest claims of missing BDE tech presence rather than everything gone.
It's really up to Ahnk to say what's what in former BDE space. No need to freak out. Just sayin..
