Blurry? pixillated? ANH's the only one I havent watched yet, and the other two seem quite nice.... especially scenes like in Jabba's palace that are horrible in older copies I have seen, in the dvd they are very clear. Of course, I was watching the movies on a smallish tv, but.... I was even watching the dvd rip of ROTJ on my computer, which generally always is of lesser quality, and it still looked much better than anything before. You are right, it's still not up to modern day dvd quality standards, but like has been said before the films *are* old...
and speaking of the jabba's palace scene, what is with that flying silver spherical thing in front of the band? I've never noticed it before and it looks kinda weird.... I think its a microphone?
another thing that bugs me about that scene, is that Chewbacca is only on a leash around his neck when he is brought in by Boussch. Real convincing, a Wookiee who did not wanna be caught let a bounty hunter not even half his size lead him around unbound with a stick and a chain.... not a lot of attention to logic there.
