Nor did I ever say she wasn't sleeping with anyone to get her position. But, keep in mind she's the daughter of a Republic Fleet Admiral, grew up in the New Republic and later GDI fleet hierachy, and has defeated more than her share of enemies without significant loss.

well the title Admiral usually means they've put considerable years behind it... sadly in roleplaying people tend to just hand out ranks to characters based on a few years of involvment and a couple great battles... when someone is an admiral, I tend to picture them as older than what most characters are here... look at how old Wes Antilles was before he became an Admiral...

Seriously, I couldn't look at someone 22- 24, or even 32, standing next to Admiral Ackbar and think, oh yeah their on the same level as him...

Wedge never became an Admiral. And he was 29 when he became a General.

And, just fyi, Ackbar's true title was Supreme Commander. They called him Admiral.

Well, the Rebels are a different story altogether... they had to promote because they lost so many.

The imps, on the other hand, never ever promoted females to anything resembling a high rank, unless they are Isard, who I admit deserved her rank, and Daala, who slept her way to the top and still sucked as an Admiral, screwing up every campaign she was ever in..

And also keep in mind that Bhindi was an Admiral with the Holy Demosthesian Empire before joining the Empire. Obviously, that rank was attained through less... respectable means. Which does not neccessary reflect a lack of skill.

When Bhindi betratyed HDE, she was allowed to keep her commission as Admiral because of the overwhelming victory she and Theren brought about almost singlehandidly.

She has since proved her worth, in the takeovers of Empress Teta and other worlds.
