Eek. Although we escaped it, I can't help but feel sorry for the people in Mobile, Ala., and the Biloxi area, plus maybe New Orleans, and Gulfport, Pensacola, and then farther up in Birmingham, Montgomery, and maybe Chattanooga. They'll either get high winds, or high rain totals. After moving inland, it's expected to stall over the Appaclation mountians, and become a major flooding event/disaster. Right now it's still a Category 4 storm with 135 mph winds. Hurricane force winds extend up to 100 miles out from the center, and Tropical Storm force winds up to 260 miles out from the center. They expect hurricane force winds as far inland as 150 miles.
