Slas: the PSG preview was glowing in its positivness. Said JTL was like a new TiE Fighter. I'm not firmiliar with SWG though, why do you (apparantly) think the game is going under?

Where should I start? Let's see...

Bugs that have been identifed in beta are still plaguing players
Jedi are supposed to be RARE during the timeframe the game is set in (between ep 4 and 5), yet there are a LOT of them....many showboating their abilities in cities.
There is no real incentive to PvP in the GCW due to a few things I'll name a couple:
-Combat Medics can single handedly wipe out whole groups of peeps with their area disease/poison combo (DoTs are not supposed to incap...yet this combo DOES): the cures for these attacks can only be applyed to one person at a time.
-Jedi gank other proffessions easily in PvP (and Jedi are forced to PvP now in order to advance in their profession, from the rank of Knight on up): remember...Jedi are supposed to be RARE and in HIDING during this time period!
they decicated two whole patches to Jedi (a minority profession)...while other professions that have been buggy since release are ignored.
Not to mention all the problems with contigency (sp). However the devs already admitted that they threw contigency out the door for the sake of 'fun'. Thing is...what the devs consider fun...many players disagree with.

I can only comment on point #3, and that would be that in the timeframe you're talking about the Jedi were all but dead. We're talking about maybe a two-dozen left living in the galaxy. A little low for a game.
Maybe JTL will fix some problems. I personally think the idea of TRF but in 3D would be incredible, so I really hope it doesn't go down before I can get my hands on broadband.

Eh, other than a monthly fee (I use a game card), the specifications are what kills you. The memmory, the video card, ect. Just get all them, and I hope to see you on there. *not to mention buying the game itself which is pretty cheap now
