These words represent everything that is wrong with America, and more.

That someone can so blindly ignore facts that are staring them in the face. It is, though, the way right-wingers are far to often found to act.

They will believe anything that comes out of their Lord and Saviour's Mouth, but can artfully put aside anything that contradicts these Words of Christ.

I'll bet that it was a right-winger who invented White Out.

BTW, Dolash, I was far more impressed with Stupid White Men than with Dude, Where's My Country?

Whereas Stupid White Men addressed many issues with America, from the Thief in Chief to the enviornment, Dude! was more of a long-winded rant against Bush and the Iraq Qar (which I don't mind), but it did get tedious after a while.

*shrug*

They're both excellent books, and both raise a lot of fascinating points about the State of the Union (heh). And both are definately worth buying.

I'm a Canadian who is pro-Bush. By tommorow morning the news of this post should be on the CBC and I will be expelled form the country, but I have this to say before I'm chased out of the countries with trained attack-beavers at my heals:

Michael Moore is a person I admire. He is intelligent, he passionately defends what he feels is right, and he did change the way I think allot with his movie "Bowlign for Columbine." However, his ideals are impossibly naiive. There is no way that if we love everyone to death that they're just gonna stop attacking us. Smart, evil people take advantage of smart, nice people. If Bush had sat on the first butt-cheeks after the 911 incident and not gone on this war on terror than he'd be putting the lives of American citizens in jeopardy. The terrorist's needed a smack in the head, and a good healthy fear of doign what they did ever again.

Another thing, as horrible as it is that we have so much corruption in our positions of power (business organizations and such) it is impossible to change. People who don't care about others become successful (for the most part). A sad but entirely valid point.

Personally, I wish we could all live in a communist society with no nations at all but that would be naive. I've realized that no amount of hugging will change some people and that we need to be able to fight to protect ourselves from these people if ever they gain power.

Everythign in this world is based upon a firm foundation of fear. This world is going to hell, and this is the reason behind my Christianity. I've realized that there is nothing that can save us but the Messiah. Being a proud person, I wish it weren't so, but hey, nobody's perfect, and I'm no exception.

That guy's pretty innacurate, Vega. Probly some grumpy conservative. I shall pay him no mind.

Mmm.... what was that you were saying Drayson? Right wingers are blind?

I just browsed through the site Vega linked to, and it's got some pretty hard facts there, well documented, well written out...

Yet Dolash brushes it off as being a grumpy conservative?

Dolash, did you even read the article? It's pretty well known that Moore has problems keeping the truth straight.

I'm saying, Kas, that you blindly ignore facts that contradict your own beliefs.

I find it highly ammusing that you can run around telling us how you hate Moore because he can't keep his facts straight, while you admire the President of the United States - who couldn't find his way to the Oval Office without Cheney there to guide him.

If you're going to be a blind, right-wing, conservative @#%$, at least be even-handed with it.

When have I stated that I admire Bush? A quote and link to said thread would be nice...

I did infact read his information and found it to be false or flawed, so by saying I paid it no mind I meant it did not effect my opinion.

Did you really find it false or flawed?

Did you read his linked sources, which provides backup evidence?

I think what really happened is you skimmed the article, and dismissed it as being a conservative dissing a liberal, which your post supports.

If you truly do find his article to be false and flawed, then by all means find the truth and email it to the guy (or at least post it here).
