As I recall, it was you that denied them essential materials that could only be mined in those locations. And it was you that refused a chance only just know to have peace reign between your factions.

The Trade Federation blacklisted Durellium exports to the Galactic Defence Initiative without warning or reason. Further actions forced the GDI High Command to declare the Federation an Enemy of the State.
Our actions in the Mestra and Tava Yagen systems come as a direct result of Vicory Galdra's own actions, and we have nothing against the Trade Federation or its members, assuming that they are more cooperative than the Vicory has been.
Vicory, you have been given a chance to end this war. It is up to you.
