A bit of an explaination of what M.D.S. was.
Multi-Dimensional Space.
The majority of the members, myself included were once on a rp science fiction site known back then as Sc-Fi Vines. After a major change in how the site was run (which included paying the members to write on the site), the site itself went bankrupt. Of course, a number of the people before and after the change in the Vine network's layout had become upset, naturally. I guess the general thought was
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. :lol
The original Sc-Fi Vine was excellent. We even had an instant messaging system which allowed us to chat with one another as long as we were logged into the system.
A few of us vine survivors had gotten to know each other as friends, and did not want the magic of us rping together to die.
So, we banded together and formed M.D.S. For me, the place introduced me to Ezboard. And yes, I have been rping longer than you guys think. :lol
The main idea was that we could role play in different sci-fi areas, which included Star Trek, Star Wars, and at one point, even a bit of Gundam Wing. There were others, but my memory of what all else was there is a bit faulty.
The Star Wars section on the board, named Star Wars Tales was the most popular portion of the board, which the other areas seemed to dwindle a bit in popularity. It seemed inevitable that the rpers in the Tales section of M.D.S. to break off and start their own group.
Star Wars Tales was born, and we've been around ever since.
And, Mr. Raktus, when did you join M.D.S? Were you under a different ID at the time? If not, I don't recall that you being there. Unless you hopped in after I left the board. *shrugs*
