A small smile slowly edged its way onto Misery's lips.
"Actually, you are quite comforting to me.."
Oh, now she'd done it! The woman's face turned into that of surprise or either shock, Misery could not quite tell. She wasn't sure how, but she'd been able to read the smuggler's thoughts.
"Sorry, I hope I didn't say anything wrong. I..."
Misery frowned, troubled by her newest discovery about herself.
"...I can read your thoughts. I did not mean to pry, honest, I'm very sorry."
Misery's face turned a small shade of pink as she looked down onto her lap for a moment, embarrassed.
The Shadow Jedi could tell she had quite the road ahead of her, and that the journey ahead of her would not be an easy one.
Her natural color returned in less than a few seconds and she lifted her head to lock gazes with Jai once more.
Did she want to tag along?
She contemplated over her answer. It seemed that at the moment, she was not off to a very good start.
So much for first impressions...
Perhaps the woman would see past her flaws, if one could call them that. Besides, if her memory did come back, she could go for a second chance at a better impression.
In a place full of strangers, Jai, though maybe she didn't know it, brought a sense of comfort to Misery. The smuggler had done her best to see that Misery had got whatever help she might have needed, and she had not abandoned Misery at a time when she felt lost, scared, and alone.
It did not take the Shadow long to come up with an answer.
"Alright, if you don't mind putting up with me, that is," she said, smiling nervously.
