I meant that Star Wars' storyline is generic. There's nothing too special about it, movies and books with the same general gist are a dime a dozen.

But yeah, the image comparison is kind of interesting.

It sucked because they had a small child and a vertical frog for main characters.

No you're right they aren't carbon copies.. and by no means was that a scientific dissection of why Star Wars and Fellowship of the Ring are they exact same movie... it was just something that pointed out things the average person probably never thought of.

The plots are basically the same. If you disagree it's probably because you are a nerd. It doesn't violate any artistic principles of a film or book series to be possessed of a generic plot: you may have noticed that Shakespeare never originated a single plotline, and that every love story in the past few centuries or so has basically stolen verbatim from Romeo and Juliet.
