OOC: You know who I am Daren;)

IC: The Modified YV-666 "Crystal Shard" was about ready to dock with the Rogue Squadron Star Destroyer when Atalya was making her run for it. On the bridge of the ship was Kalen Baathor. Smuggler, mercenary, law-enforcement agent, spy, and one-time Rogue pilot; Kalen was making a visit to his old friends. Suddenly the alarms went wild, and ahead of them they could see the main hanger and a flash of lights inside.

"What in the Sith is going on? Somebody get me the ship's Captain." This certainly wasn't a planned alert, Baathor had been given a schedule of those ahead of time.

Daren again looked at the rubber duckie that Raven had been holding and let out a cheerful laugh.

"You're real cute, y'know that Skywalker?" he said in as casual a tune as he could mention.

As Tec watched the fighter come out of the bay, he opened himself to the Force so he wouldn't do something that would get him or one of the other two out there in serious damage before he could stop himself.
Setting his comm unit to search for the X-wing's frequency, he started to pull away slowly, slowly aiming the lasers towards the ship raising its sheilds and soming at hight speeds. When he got the frequency, he said to himself, "A private comm frequency eh? Hmmm...." Then he said into the comm unit, "Ahem. I am assuming I am watching the pilot Atalya in this X-wing? I don't want to harm you, or your ship, so if you don't mind, could I fly along with you?"

The crew of the 'Crystal Shard' were jumping to thier battle stations, caught unprepared in a friendly area. Kalen fumed, even if they weren't in danger they should have been able to react faster than this. Fortunately, as a long time military man, he kept his crew trained to react quickly, even when surprised, and by the time Tec was trying to communicate with Atalya, all stations had reported in as ready, and Baathor had gotten a reply to what was going on. The information hovered in front of him, projected from a small lens in his chair so that the information there was visible despite a direction change.

The report from the ship was that one of the Rogues was trying to take an unauthorized leave, a Lieutenant Atalya Pelyan. Kalen, a former Rogue, found this very odd. It wasn't often a Rogue was restricted from flight status, usually only when they were injured. Fortunately the commander of the 'War's Beauty' had included the pilots records, and a scan of those showed that she had recently been treated in the ICU area of the ship's med facility, for a self-inflicted blaster wound. Baathor blinked at that. "A suicidal Rogue," he inadvertantly said out loud, "ohh now this can't be good."

"What has Trevelan gotten himself into," Kalen thought. "Activate the ion cannons," he ordered, "prepare to disable that craft and the other X-wing if it attacks us." Baathor knew he would probably have to handle this himself, even an Ion canon shot from the Star Destroyer would leave Pelyan vaporized. He'd seen that happen far too often. Not this time. If it was within his power, Atalya would live. Inside, Kalen silently felt for the Lieutenant, only a few months ago he'd been in nearly the same place, plummeting from the sky towards an empty field in a self-induced dive, torn apart with inner torment.

He wasn't about to see another poor soul throw away thier life like he almost did, he just prayed he'd be able to stop her.

OOC: Just so you know Atalya, I've got nothing against you or anything, I'm just very against suicide IC and IRL, and have been trying to work up a background for this character for some time. Obviously, if you really want to kill of the character, there's nothing we can do to stop you, but hey, might as well try.

OOC: I know you weren't planning on killing yourself. Btw, perhaps I mistated my actions with the Ion cannons, they would have already been powered, now they're just prepping to target Atalya, not actually pointed at you guys yet. Ohh, and regarding your posts, they're not to hard to understand, though I would recommend some work on the spacing. That would make it easier.
