I'm not terribly worried if this doesn't turn out to be exactly perfect. The teacher is actually all right with stick drawings. It's only suppose to be a sample page about the process of turning movies into comics, which is what the actual paper I have to write about will be on. Nonetheless, I think I will toy with this more when I have the chance.

If you're going for that 'movie turns comic' artistic approach, you could try opening photoshop and using the Filter > Artistic > Cutout tool. It will replace the image as something more akin to a drawing, with almost cell-shaded qualities.

Here's an example:



That's basically a maxed out Cutout filter, with a copy of the same images pasted over the top, and made into a Multiply layer at 40% opacity (to give some definition to the main lines and such). If you want less realistic definition, simply lower the cutout settings to make them more stylized and 'comic like'.

Not sure if that's what you're after, but you managed to get pretty close on your other imagery.
