To be perfectly honest, this thread was a bit unnecessary. TRF does not and I doubt ever will be invitation only.
The approval process is in place merely to ensure that you are not, in fact, a robot. Unfortunately, our tech guy is off God knows where doing God knows what, and the omniscient overseer is on vacation.
That being said, welcome to TRF! I'd give you the whole spiel, but you seem like you know what you're getting yourself into and have some friends here already who can show you the ropes. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

It's not a bad idea, if you know someone who is stuck in the queue, to ask me to approve them. I check TRF everyday, but only really open the hood if I know something needs work. A heads up is much oblidged.
