Thanks for the info on the factions, Gro. I was looking through some of the forums earlier and was finding it hard to learn a lot about them. Maybe it's just me not knowing how to search a forum 
And thanks to everyone for the warm welcome so far - it probably sounds cheesy, but it's much appreciated.

Another question: should I start out on Astral Astoria to get a feel for TRF or jump into Battlegrounds? I've done some RPing before, so I'm not sure what would be best. And can I start right away or do I need to wait for admin to approve my character?

Personally, I'd suggest discussing with someone to draw up a plot of sorts if you want to guarantee someone to write with.

I am sure some story ideas can be worked out for the Battlegrounds, or look around for an open thread or if you are reading a threat you like, ask the author (via pm or OOC forum) if they mind participation.
Also, regarding your character bio, you do not need admin or staff approval. They will hit you upside the head if you make your character Darth Vader's father or make Han Solo an Atlantean instead of Corellian...

Okay, that sounds good to me. I usually like stories with a fair bit of adventure and intrigue, but I'm open to almost anything. I'll pull the newbie movie and ask in this thread if anyone's interested in starting an thread/has a thread where Brarhk (my character) might play a role. In the meantime, I think I'll post something in the Cafe seeing if anyone's interested in starting one.......
