...not that I can get on Live anyways, due to requiring a wireless adapter.

I'm going to go out on a limb and ask this: Why the fuck do you have a WIRELESS connector on a damn console?
The wireless portion of the 360 is very unreliable, not useful much for online play. UNLESS you are very very lucky....

If I were you, I'd go and just connect a straight network cable to the console. That's what I did, ran a fifty(I think fifty) foot cable from my up here on the second floor to my living down that's downstairs.
