OOC: I agree he'd probably be dead, but not neccesarily from the Jedi Purge. The Expanded Universe has shown many examples of jedi that escaped the purge, though I'm pretty sure Palpatine would have made sure all the members of the Council were taken out. *shrugs* Oh well though, Ki already cleared it with Hex and company.
IC: From his position on the balcony, the Gand blinked as Fett accused him of organizing a trap and the Jedi farther down reacted to the Bounty Hunter's attention. The Jedi was of little consequence right now however, the important thing was Fett's reaction. Looking down on the man who had caught Han Solo, Jander stood in a passve manner, even though men like he and Fett knew there was no true defenseless posture.
"Now Mr. Fett, you know me much better than that, to think I'd try something against you."
The first two times Fett and Sunstar had met, on Cloud City and in Jabba's Palace, the Bounty Hunter was clearly the superior. While not unskilled at the time, the Gand and his companions knew enough of Boba Fett to give him a wide berth and do what he said if he asked it. Since then though, he'd learned and trained much more. His respect for the bounty hunter however, had not diminished in the least. He knew well enough he just might not leave here had it done so.
"Why would I try something like that, particularly partnering with Jedi? At best I have a grudging respect for them, with few exceptions. On top of that, we have no outstanding grudges, I have no reason to attack you. I'm simply here on a historical trip."
Jander approached the railing and placed his left hand on it as he spoke. "You see, I like you have had quite a past. It's quite common for men our age and exploits to want to return to important places in thier life. That's why you've come back here is it not? I'm doing something similar. I'm here today exploring galactic events during my youth. I was young when this battle occured, the beginning of the Clone Wars. In fact, I'd only been of Gand once or twice. This however was one of few news stories to reach my home during that period, and thus worthy of study. That Mr. Fett, is why I'm here. Your presence is as much a surprise to me as mine must be to you."
While he spoke, Sunstar was utilizing his wide range of vision to keep his eyes on all present. Both of the Jedi seemed to be still, almost ignoring the concersation between himself and Fett. From above however, he could see action. Several transports, Imperial make to Jander's trained eye, were dropping down.
"Interesting," he thought outloud,"It appears we have some more company."
Looking to Fett, Sunstar raised his right hand slowly and pointed the middle of his three fingers skyward.
