Most bugs will come off with a good hard scrubbing. Lovebugs, which are indeed named for their flying around stuck together in their reproductive cycle, on the other hand, hardly ever come off without extensive use of one's fingernails. Unless you have no qualms about ruining your paint job.

Look around in an auto shop, Kraken, for a spray to remove them when you wash your car... it works alot better than trying to scrub them off.
