Blink If You Can Hear Me
I thought OK Computer was definitely really good, but that the Kid A/Amnesiac stuff had a lot of really wicked tracks. There was a lot of dead air too, but the effort was there, and when it hit, it hit. I really enjoyed Hail To The Thief, as it had some good tracks as well. I don't know about the new stuff; it sounds too... eh, well, look up Bangers and Mash or any of the other new tracks, they just don't pop yet. It might be because it's just a live jam and it will be better on the album, but I have reservations.

I think if they go back to their roots (The Bends and OK Computer) they will have a very good/clean sound rather than the techo-savvy albums since. Truthfully I liked every album, but Pablo Honey (with the exception of Creep) so I really won't complain either way I just like the guitar songs more (Fake Plastic Trees, High and Dry, Karma Police, and Subterranean Homesick Alien are among my favourites) than the stuff on Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief, and Kid A (but Pyramid Song was awesome). Radiohead is to me like Matt Good or Coldplay I like everything the band/artist does as opposed to U2 or Snow Patrol where I like a handful of songs.

Matt Good:
I can’t truthfully say right now that I am going to tour this record or even continue in music because I am just sick and tired of all of the negativity that comes attached to my name

Perhaps I spoke too soon.

I know there are several Matt fans on this board (probably the biggest grouping I've ever seen)

Blame Gash.

There's funny.
And then there's asshole.

Kid A is the best Radiohead album while tripping on acid, and in fact better than any album by any band. The end of National Anthem gave me the weirdest vivid imagery of a circus being trapped in a box. OK Computer was my first Radiohead album, and I think on the whole still might be my favorite.

I haven't listened to Matt Good in years. I only have 2 of his albums, but I was obsessed with Beautiful Midnight for a few months, so I'm willing to bet that the majority of his work is exceptional.

I used to be stauncly opposed to Coldplay, though I no longer have any recollection of why that was. They're really a great band.

And fuck you all, but I still like the Mars Volta, and I think their latest album was the shit.

I like all bands mentioned. Coldplay's X&Y was absolutely great.

EDIT: I thought I'd slip in a screenshot of my top ten on my iTunes list. It's really not accurate anymore since I haven't listened to those songs in a while (I have about one hundred played about 50-60 times; sad no?). I have more than 1,500 songs on my total list so it really is a bad comparison, but since we talking about some of my favourites:

fuck that duck
I think you thought Coldplay's music was absurdly simple and lacked content, Hyfe. Though that might have been Gash...

Either way, Coldplay = Great.

Chris Martin's bland band can kiss my equally bland and wet crotch.

Coldplay kind of frustrates me. I thought Rush Of Blood was really good, and then bought X&Y. I like the change to stronger guitars... the instrumentation is really good, but the big problem with the album is that every fucking song is a love song. It's really fucking annoying to have a band that can lay down good licks and then have an emo fag who whines for two hours about love. Variety is the spice of life, and Chris Martin is pasty and tasteless.
