So basically, if it has a Bio thread then it's a PC, if not then it's an NPC? That's always how I look at it, although I daresay there are exceptions knocking around. It's another one of those common sense thingies I guess.

I've an idea for you to help fix that....
When you're IC, go find Vance Jas. Sith Master dude - can't miss him - and tell him that you're going to do an energy attack and "teach him a lesson" (I suggest those exact words).

As Heir, I typically play hundreds of NPC's as the main character itself would merely be the puppet master... None get fully developed past the thread they are in and all are killable on a whim.
