Amalia, not surprisingly, collapsed into silence yet again as she eventually took a seat beside Jensen.
She had taken her time in getting toward the front of the shuttle, her thoughts dwelling on Kahn and what she had said to him.
She wondered if the man had taken to understand her words.
If he truly knew what was meant within her death.
... That her soul would no longer remain as he had once felt it.
I will be with you.... always.
She'd let her mind reach out to him no more after that. There was nothing more she could have told him.
She would live with his pain, of not knowing.. of being shut out.
It was the only way... He could afford to see the truth for himself. She did not want him to hear the truth from her, too much pain for her to handle.
Though Amalia's gaze had been centered elsewhere as Jensen spoke to her, being occupied with her private thoughts, she had heard him address her; even though she had failed to see his own moment of hesitation.
"Alright.."
Her brown eyes had quickly diverted toward his face as she answered Jensen. She was surprised at how well he kept to being composed, even though she was sure he was close to falling apart on the inside just as much as she was.
The strong yet well composed behavior made her smile on the inside, reminding her of someone dear to her back on Naboo.
She wondered how the woman was doing.
As Amalia stood up, her right hand came to firmly grasp Jensen's right shoulder as she squeezed his shoulder softly,
".. Thank You.. for coming with me.."
Slowly her hand brushed off and away from his shoulder as she moved to walk toward the back of the shuttle.
She paused rather quickly, having only taken three steps before looking back at Jensen.
"I won't forget what you've done for me.. ever," she said, her lips coming to form a small approving smile that was mixed with slight amusement.
".. You know... you're something else.. champion...."
******************************
Twenty minutes later, the woman was nestled peacefully under the comforts of a soft warm cozy blanket.
She slept peacefully and with... hope.
Fourteen hours later: Somewhere on Naboo...
"Well... I guess this is it... I'm really going to go through all of this.."
Amalia and Jensen stood at the foot of a bridge, Jensen standing close beside her.
The two stood facing one another, Amalia holding Jensen's outer Jedi garments over her left lower arm, the material tucked neatly over her arm as her brown eyes continued to look at his as she continued in conversation.
".. What would you say if I told you that I was.. scared?"
