fuck that duck
Why Beff, it's a shining example of a fleet RPer with a problem that has been resolved BY THE RPERS THEMSELVES without resorting to name calling, baseless accusations, and grumpy staff rulings!
If that doesn't deserve to be sticky, well, I don't know what does.

Ben: Corise is a big boy. If he has a problem with anything said, he can deal with it (as this thread shows, ahem). So, for lack of something more elequont, shoo fly, don't bother me.

Looks pretty good. Only one topic.
How are you targetting my starfighters again? The sonar type thing? I want to see how that works or a canon reference to that, simply because that negates several paragraphs of writing.
Yeah, I concede the maneuverability part, but how good are heavy guns at tracking starfighters going past and away from them at 175 MGLT?
The Bismark's antistarfighter guns began to fire, and the enemy fighters had two choices: break, and lose their chance at attack, or shoot and die.

The afforementioned problem with the speed of your bombers aside (TIE Defenders travel at only 155MGLT, according to Hanger Bay), the guns are not doing a lot of tracking.
The bombers approached the ship in a line: once the first one fired, the guns opened up on that area of space and started hitting the ships behind them.
As the ships passed over the Cruiser, the guns on the opposite side opened up on them.
Targetting is accomplished initially largely by blind luck (though not difficult, given that the ships are stacked one behind the other), and by the vauge sensor readings the ship has.
At point blanc range, your ships aren't going to be invisible, methinks.

Omane posts... and...
I've got say, Om, that's probably the best/funniest rant/ruling I've ever seen on TRF.
What?

Yeah, that's with the SAS system engaged (a temporary boost system). Normally the bombers are much slower than that.

Fair enough, though I'm not sure how effective it would be.

No idea, but I would certainly like to know why.
Might be a bit before I post: I have some major tests going on during this weeks which doesn't leave me a lot of time to actually post. I'll try to get one up as quick as I can though.

I pinned it; this thread amused me, more then once. Unpin it if you so desire, I just felt it was funny enough that everyone should read it at least once.

Corsie... Demo... you both just skipped my post, and when it was about ten miniutes from being finished, too.
Ah, well, no harm done, really.

Kach, don't rp what my fighters are doing; especially since that's what they were not going to do at all.
More than a few compliants here. One, my fleet isn't coming back at all. Nor is there anyway for your fleet to get near Metalorn at all, the each planetary turbolaser has enough punch to destroy a frigate in a single hit. Check the NIF database, planetary defences to see what you're up against.
Moreover, don't rp what my forces are and aren't doing. That's for me to decide. I request you edit the parts involving them, the fighters and the planetary defences.
The following light show was as spectacular and beautiful a sight as any had ever seen. Planetary
It seemed they had won the day. The planetary defenses were down and at any time a fleet of troop carriers could be brought in to begin the ground assault, the defending fighters had all either fled or had been destroyed, and the enemy fleet had fled.
But then the Kashan fleet returned.
