The curtains to her viewport were on and it looked like the sky was getting brighter. But even as sunlight flowed into her quarters, she would be safe.
A friend of her had developed a new type of window just for her, another vampyre friend of hers, one who turned her. These windows would keep the heat of the suns rays from harming a vampyres body, all the while letting sunlight into the space where the window is.

"Alright. I'm going to go check on your daughter."
He started to walk out the door.

He walked down the hall to the cot where she was laying. It seemed she was asleep but he wasn't sure. Sitting in a chair across from her, he watched her rest. The young lady was still really red where her mother had beaten her up.

Kamon watched Amethyst stir and turn over to face him. Her eyes began to flutter open as he watched her. Standing, he moved his seat over closer to her and looked at her.

Having done so saved my life. And hers. But I know she did it for herself, only so she could persuade Father to make the choice he did.
