Prevents you from jumping to hyperspace. About 200 or so meters outside the field is the extent of my Nexii jamming blocking and outgoing transmissions, so basically, until you escape it (My ships are at the edge of the nebula now, so after I make my next post, you can leave the field, and then your next post jump to hyperspace), you can't communicate with anyone (including your own ships) and you can't jump to lightspeed.
