Zoe put the food on a tray and headed into Jaina's bedroom. She placed the tray on the bed beside Jaina, then gently shook her.

Jai, who had trained herself to be a heavy sleeper, didn't even budge.
"Mmm, Lupercus...Zzzzzz..."

Zoe giggled, then picked up the cup of coffee and started to wave it under Jaina's nose.

Jai stopped haveing her fantasy about Lupercus and opened one eye groggily at the cup of coffee. She pushed it back a little and sat up in bed, yawning and streching.
"Oh, thank you, Zoe. I needed this." She took the coffee and downed a long swig. "Wow...this is.......coffee." Jai never considered the much that she made herself to be coffee, it was too horrid to be graced with being called drinkable. But this...this was really good coffee.
Then she spotted the tray. "And food...real coffee? Real food? Are you sure your a real kid, 'cause this is...amazing. You didn't have to do this, kiddo."

Jai was downing coffee and scarfing down food at that moment and could only give Zoe a puzzled look. She gulped down a bit of food and washed it down quickly, and then spoke, "Thank me...? For what?"

Jai put a hand under Zo's chin and lifted it softly.
"Hey...if this is about me takeing you in, then you ought not be mentioning it. I took you in because I like you. Not because I had to."
She smiled softly at Zoe and ruffled up her hair softly.
"Now...cm'on, kiddo. Time to get dressed and ready. I've got to report into work, and then we can hang out or whatever you want to do."

Zoe looked up at Jaina and smiled, then ran her fingers through her hair to straighten it. She looked a little concerned when Jaina said something about work.

Jai walked over with a brush and started tackleing that tangled jungle of hair.
"I was thinking of takeing you with me. I'm not doing anything stressful today. Just calling up contacts and getting runs lined---"
Jai could tell from the blank stare that Zoe gave that she had no clue as to what Jai was talking about.
"Well..nevermind that. For now, go take a bath and get dressed. I put some clothes on the couch for you last night. They're your size, maybe a tad big. It's some of my old jedi academy uniforms. They're plain brown pants and white tuck-in shirts, but they'll do for now. I'm gonna go take a shower myself, so if you need me, just knock. Ok, kiddo?"
