The Rebel Faction

"Mr. Stellar, we'll be emerging in system in five minutes." Called out the captain in command of the Stellar Class Destroyer.

The figure seated at the bridge guest chair gently smiled and nodded. "Thank you Captain Nelson. We seem to be right on time."

For all intensive purposes the figure sitting there, looking towards the foward display, was Rob Stellar in every single way. Externally it was Rob Stellar down to the last fine hair on his arm. The figure acted and reacted like Rob would to the tee. Its vocal patterns and along with whatever little blood was running through its veins would all match that of Rob's on any extensive scan or test. However, it wasn't Rob, it was a newly designed and built android by Stellar Enterprises.

Internally it was completely machine like, with all bones and structures designed to appear normal during scans. It also contained a complete set of fake organs which would appear as real unless the exam was conducted through surgery. This model was one of the most advanced androids in the galaxy and had been designed specifically at Rob's request. Rob felt it would be good business to have a few on stand by incase he was unable to attend a meeting for clients.

This was the case now. Rob himself was away meeting with a representative from the Gestalt Colonies and therefore could not attend the meeting which the Serendivus group wanted. So as not to put off the meeting till later, this android had been activated and sent on this mission. Its deployment was so secrative and not a single sole on the ship knew that it wasn't in fact the real Rob Stellar. Every detail had been put into the design to make this so and even after three days of interacting with the crew, no one realised it wasn't Rob himself.

Even Rob's affinity for watching hyperspace roll by the ship was programmed into the droid. As he now sat there in the guest chair the android was doing just that, watching the display of hyperspace inside the large internal bridge. All around him people were busy at work doing different system checks and getting ready to exit out of hyperspace. To the side the Captain stood and studied the holodisplay of the space they would be emerging in. A portion of the galaxy was seemed to be empty for the most part.

Finally alarms rang out around the bridge and the large 1450 meter Star Cruiser shot out of hyperspace. Stars all around the ship reverted to their natural state and the bridge digital display clearly showed every inch of space around the large ship. The ships three large engine nozzels light up and pushed the cruiser lazily foward towards the ship that had been picked up on sensors.

"Sir, getting readings of a single vessel. Profile and signature matchs with the one we have on file."

"Alright, comms hail that vessel. Inform them Mr. Stellar has arrived for the meeting."

The large ship slowly paused in the dead of space ten kilometers away from the Monteson Trading Declaration ship, somewhat looming over it. As it held its position and really from the moment it had exited hyperspace, the ship's Spectrographic Sensor Array had been scanning the space all around the vessel. It's advanced sensors gathered in all light from the surrounding area and processed it through the onboard computer systems.

When light from the stars reflected off an object in space, such as the ship in front, it was analyzed and produced a picture much like that from other sensor systems. This one, however, could detect ships even if they were in stealth and using only passive systems. It was the analysis of this light pattern that at first seem to baffle the sensor officer as he looked at the screens before him.

"Captain? I'm getting some strange reading here. There seems to be a sort of light distortion at three... no wait.. make that four points around Contact One."

"What kind of distortions? Also transfer them to the main display please."

"Well, sir, it seems that there is a longer time for light to pass through these four point than anywhere else in space. It could be a computer error of course, but all systems check out."

The Captain thought and stood before the holodisplay as the four points appeared around the main ship. As they did he instantly realized they were in what seemed like an escort position. Perhaps they were cloaked ships of some kind, but he couldn't be certain.

"I want those points designated as probable targets two through five. Store them in the targeting computers and have them ready to be taken out should the need arise."

"I'm sure it wouldn't Captain." The android of Rob Stellar smiled and interrupted. "They are probably just causious like use at this first meeting. Send back the reply that we would like to have them on board this ship. Inform them that weapons should be left on their ship and they can bring on board two body guards if they wish. I will meet them in the hanger."

The android nodded at everyone as it got up. It moved slowly towards the bridge exit and to the turbolift nearby. While the lift moved towards the private quarters on the upper deck of the ship, it called down to make sure the gathering hall was ready for guests.

As soon as the shuttle shot out of the other ship's launch bay, it was monitored by the sensor officer onboard the star cruiser. Every inch of the shuttle, inside and out, was looked after and scanned in order to make sure it was safe to bring it onboard. The scans revealed that as per request there were only three life signs on board. Along with these no explosives were detected and so the decission was made to allow the ship to land.

"Shuttle, this is Enterprise, you are clean to land in main hanger bay, landing pad One Four. Mr. Stellar is expecting you."

Inside the hanger bay everything had been prepared for the guest's arrival. Rob stood at the hanger's enterance and watched as the last of the Hellhound fighters was loaded onto the racks surrounding the bay. All around personel and droids were moving around to move crates and other cargo into holding areas. A group of combat droids stood in formations around the hander both as a show of force and also as a display of Stellar Enterprises equipment.

Rob watched the shuttle land and moved towards the blastdoors that seperated the hanger from the rest of the ship. These massive doors slowly parted as the android stepped in front of them. Once they opened enough for a man to walk through, Rob entered the hanger.

He emerged in the hanger just in time to watch the hatch of the shuttle open up. With a warm smile Rob walked towards the shuttled, seeing a woman and two body guards come out from inside it. He readjusted his black suit coat and stuck his hand out for a hand shake just as he reached her.


"Commander Merendez I presume? I'm Rob Stellar of Stellar Enterprises. I'd like to welcome you aboard the Star Cruiser Enterprise."

Rob smiled and looked over at the guard without any fear or hasitiation in his eyes. He just nodded slighted and looked back to Merendez.

"I'm awfully sorry ma'am. I didn't mean to offend you in any way." Rob let go of her hand and smiled.

"Is there a shorter name I might call you or do you prefer 2nd Grand Admiral Merendez?"

As he said this Rob turned towards the blast door at the end of the large hanger and slightly motioned towards it with his hand. "Please come this way. I have prepared a room for our meeting. There are drinks and food for us to enjoy while we work out or discuss our deal together. Your guards are of course welcome to any food and drink they desire as well."

He looked back at both the large wookie and trandoshan. As they started slowly towards the exit a small group of six dark gray armored battle droids moved into formation around them. Two at the front, two at the rear and one on either side, escorting them all down the hanger.
