Her stay on the Astral Astoria had not been very long. Still, Tatane found herself disturbed by the amount of noise and tumult that took place in the majority of the area within its walls. Driven by the need to meditate and to think, she often found herself within the Celesteal Gardens. Here she would attempt to find some measure of peace, secure in the fact that there was at least one area in which she could bring herself to balance.
Vivid blue eyes flickered open as she broke from her meditation - her mind and body distracted by some disturbance so subtle and unexpected. Was it the Force, or some ackward experience of one's imagination? Tatane was unable to distinguish any difference. It was, in fact, so faint that she even considered brushing it aside. After all, she had been quite ill at ease for the past few days. The continuous chatter and restlessness of the Astorians made her so edgy that she could very well have imagined another thing that would bother her for hours on end.
She took in a breath and stood. Thus ended her serene deliberation for the day.
A couple, murmuring amongst themselves quietly, brushed past her with a small nod of greeting and went on with their day. Tatane brushed herself off for no real reason, and then look around, appreciating the beauty of the life that surrounded her. Something within it reassured her, and told her that there was no reason to fret. The constant moving of the life in the Astoria was natural and only doing as it should. In only a while she would be heading to Naboo, anyway, and the uneasiness that the ship caused her would be quite a ways behind her.
Still, she couldn't help but wonder why it frustrated her so much. Even the careful meditation during her days within the Celesteal Gardens did little to put at peace her troubled mind. A drink, perhaps, to cool her nerves. Maybe then she would be content.
With her warm brown robes rustling in irritation behind her, the young woman moved at a brisk stride towards the doors, other than at the leisurely pace that she had first arrived in. Her mind on a suitable place to find anything drink, she found herself stopping before the entrance to a bar that she had heard of often during her time on the Astoria. As soon as the doors were open, she was inside.
There was an odd sense that she got from entering the tavern, and yet the area was so alive with energy that she could not exactly find the sorce of the disturbance. Whatever it was, it continued to trouble her, and she took a deep breath to once again try and ease her thoughts.
She approached the bar and nodded in acknowledgment to the bartender, seating herself next to a rather interesting looking man, who was dressed in a conspicuous scarlet shirt and had dark hair. His gaze, which did little to put her mind at rest, made her inwardly frown. She tried to sidestep it, however, for there were many strange people that she had met or seen during her time on the Astoria.
She missed Naboo. All of this trouble was certainly harming her mentality.
"Good day, Madam," greeted the droid behind the bar, "and welcome to one of the many bars on floor one-hundred eleven of the Astral Astoria. We offer a great deal of refreshments - ranging from common to exotic, and ..."
From there, Tatane found herself tuning the droid out. She waited until its voice had faltered, and then spared it a brief and polite smile. "Anything cold and non-alchoholic, please," she requested. Her voice was bland and youthful.
"Coming right up," came the cheerful voice of the droid as he turned slightly, preparing her drink without even a moment's hesitance.
Slender, gloved fingers tugged at the similar-colored robes and drew them closer about her meager form. "An ackward night to be awake so late," she murmured to herself. "Albeit there is much to do once it does become as such."
She sighed. She felt the need to say something... to anyone, perhaps the bartender or the man beside her. It had been so long since she had had a worthwhile conversation with anyone. Still, she doubted that the bartender would speak about things that would notably interest her. She also had a feeling that the man at her side would not easily accept random discussion.
And so, she took a drink of whatever it was that was offered her, lost in thought of how glad she'd be to get back to familiar Naboo.
